The state of Minnesota is in the spotlight of the elections in the United States. On election day, November 5, voters will decide how to allocate the 10 presidential Electoral College votes. The main contests include the presidential election between Harris, Trump, and other candidates, as well as the competition for the federal Senate between Amy Klobuchar and Royce White, among other state-level contests.

Regarding voter turnout, it is estimated that around 27% of voters cast their ballots before election day in 2022. As for the vote count, the first results are usually known shortly after the polls close at 9 PM Eastern time.

In Minnesota, about two dozen undecided seats could change hands in this contest. Both Republicans and Democrats have indicated that winning or maintaining control of the state legislature is one of their priorities. While the U.S. House of Representatives is also at stake, the elections in Minnesota are not expected to determine the majority in either chamber.

In the contest for the state Senate, Democrat Amy Klobuchar is seeking a fourth term against Republican Royce White. Meanwhile, in the House of Representatives, all 134 seats are up for renewal and various political figures are vying for key seats.
