The President of the United States, Donald Trump, anticipated this Tuesday that the military forces of his country will leave Iran "in two or three weeks", once they have dismantled Tehran's nuclear program. "Very soon," affirmed Trump about the withdrawal of the United States, in a telephone interview he granted this afternoon to the New York Post, and added that he is now negotiating "with more reasonable and less radicalized people" within the Iranian government, after eliminating Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Asked about the presence of US military in the Middle East, where they attacked Iran alongside the Israeli army, he indicated that "we are finishing the job and I think we will be there for two or three weeks". Additionally, and according to what the Argentine News agency learned, he stressed that he has already initiated negotiations with Iranian authorities to reach a peace agreement and at the same time considered that "it will take them between fifteen and twenty years to rebuild what we destroyed", in reference to the damage caused to the Asian country's alleged nuclear facilities. In another statement, he indicated that his government will not intervene in the Strait of Hormuz, currently closed to US ships and their allies, and that the countries of the region will be in charge of managing the security of that area, through which a large part of the crude oil consumed worldwide passes.
