Trump Criticizes Biden's Pardons

Donald Trump claims that Joe Biden's pardons are invalid and made without his knowledge, pointing to a lack of oversight on the decisions.

Trump Criticizes Biden's Pardons

The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, criticized the pardons granted by his successor, Joe Biden, arguing that they lack validity as they were signed with an automatic pen. According to Trump, these pardons were not explained or approved by Biden, which could constitute a crime by those who carried them out.

In his statements, Trump referred to the Political Thugs Committee, which he accuses of destroying evidence during investigations against him and other innocent people. The Republican president emphasized that Biden was unaware of the documents signed in his name, pointing to the Committee as responsible for this situation.

Before finishing his term, Biden announced the commutation of sentences for nearly 2,500 people imprisoned for non-violent drug-related offenses. He also commuted the sentences of 37 federal inmates on death row, converting their punishments to life imprisonment. Furthermore, he granted pardons to his son Hunter, who was accused of gun and tax-related offenses, as well as to high-profile officials like Anthony Fauci, responsible for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump emphasizes that Biden's pardons are invalid as they were signed with an autopen, insinuating that the current president was not aware of them. In his message, Trump stresses that the pardons lack effect due to this circumstance and questions the transparency of the process for granting these presidential pardons.
