Senate to Approve Trump's Nominees This Week

Many candidates proposed by President Donald Trump for various positions in the government are awaiting confirmations of their appointments this week from the U.S. Senate. With the help of the Senate's higher chamber, it is necessary to conduct several confirmations, including that of the new finance minister, Steven Mnuchin. According to information, the Senate Committee has already counted over 12 meetings for the discussion and consideration of Trump's nominated individuals.

However, Mnuchin's financial perspective faces a strong opposition from the Democrats, who express resistance to his experience in the higher banking sector. Nevertheless, Republicans remain confident that the candidate will be confirmed. According to Mnuchin, in the area of trade affairs, confirmation of the candidate for minister, namely William Ross, as well as the candidate for the labor minister, Andrew Puzder, is expected.

Among other candidates waiting for confirmations, one can highlight the general officer, elevated to the position of the defense minister, James Mattis. Already last Friday, a nomination for confirmation was submitted to the Senate by American representatives. The main opposing sides, emphasizing differences in nominations, remain the Democrats and Republicans. In the case of the above-mentioned information, the Senate may hold a vote on one or several candidates in the coming days.

"Mnuchin is not the one who puts the country's interests first; he is the one who intervenes for his benefit," stated one of the representatives of the opposition.
