Air Lease Prices May Surge Due to Tariff Tensions

Air Lease Prices May Surge Due to Tariff Tensions

The head of the company for the leasing of aircraft 'Irkab' Hisham Mdyakhn stated that the price of the Boeing 787 aircraft may rise by 40 million dollars in the worst scenario due to the introduction of American customs duties, and this has provoked reactions from interested parties. He noted that the 'Irkab' company took 150 aircraft, helicopters, and reserve engines from Boeing last year.

While the exact consequences of increased customs tariffs are difficult to predict, Kelly stated: 'No one will want to pay this amount, and probably most airlines will turn to French Airbus, which could give it a chance to capture from 75% to 80% of the global market.'
