The Argentine citizen who lost his life in this tragic event was identified as Luciano Aparicio. He was traveling with his son Franco, a 13-year-old with Chilean nationality. The impact occurred when the aircraft they were on collided with a military helicopter carrying three soldiers. The incident happened near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.

Luciano Aparicio was a graduate accountant from the University of Buenos Aires and held the position of general director of Mergers and Acquisitions at AES Corporation, a U.S.-based company specializing in the generation and distribution of electric power.

The collision took place between the regional commercial plane that had taken off from Wichita, Kansas, heading to Washington and a Blackhawk military helicopter. Amid this tragedy, there were no survivors, leaving a deep sorrow among those involved and the population in general.
