A conservative plan by the Heritage Foundation proposes incentives for marriages, bans on dating apps, and restrictions on social media to boost birth rates in the US.

Document Proposes Direct State Intervention in Private Life to Combat Low Birth Rates

The document, titled 'Saving the United States by Saving the Family,' proposes direct state intervention in private life to restore the traditional marriage and combat low birth rates. According to the Argentine News Agency, the plan not only contemplates economic incentives but also aims to regulate citizens' digital behavior and consumption habits to ensure 'healthy and fruitful families.'

The Pillars of the 'Perfect Marriage' The conservative proposal introduces unprecedented mechanisms to discourage divorce and promote marital stability: Premarital training: The Department of Health would conduct mandatory intensive courses before marriage. Rewards for longevity: The plan proposes granting economic incentives to couples for each decade they remain married. Veto on dating apps: The report urges discouraging the use of applications for matchmaking, promoting more traditional bonding methods. Restriction on pornography: They call for expanding limitations on online pornography, arguing that its consumption reduces commitment and increases the risk of divorce.

War on Social Media and 'Climate Alarmism' The Heritage report also focuses on the impact of technology on young people. The authors propose setting a 16-year age limit for using social media and AI chat platforms. According to them, these platforms spread 'alarmism about climate change' that demoralizes the younger generation and discourages them from having children.

The report also maintains a rigid stance on reproductive technologies, stating that in vitro fertilization (IVF) and genetic testing 'routinely destroy human embryos,' so they call for protecting 'life from fertilization.'

The Ghost of the Population Crisis The urgency of these measures stems from an existential concern about the national character. With near-zero immigration under Trump's administration, the U.S. population is expected to begin declining by 2030.
