As a result of a tragic incident, a six-week-old baby died from burns sustained while the mother attempted to heat his formula before she lost consciousness. The police attempted to conduct a cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the infant, who had life-threatening burns on the right side, but they were unable to save him, and his death was pronounced.
According to this investigation of the incident, police discovered a marijuana growing operation on the back balcony.
Currently, Georgia resident Morgan Ellison Krill (32 years old) is charged with felony murder in the second degree. Krill called for help, reporting her six-week-old baby unresponsive in November 2023, and, according to Fox 5 Atlanta, she is accused of being under the influence of this substance at the time of the baby’s death. She was arrested on charges of neglecting children and later released on bail.
During a press conference, Krill admitted that she attempted to heat her baby’s formula when she blacked out. Almost a year later, she was also charged with driving a vehicle while intoxicated. According to the indictment, Krill "caused the death of another and created serious physical and psychological pain, leaving the formula for the baby on with hot steam boiling in the baby, at that time when the accused was found in the surrounding area under the influence of controlled substances." Krill has been held in custody in the Cook County Jail since January 24 of last year.
