
Angie Stone, the renowned Grammy-nominated singer, tragically passed away at the age of 63 in a fatal car accident in the southern United States. Stone, whose career spanned decades and various musical styles, is remembered for hits such as ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ and her participation in the hip-hop group The Sequence.
Born on December 18, 1961, in South Carolina, Angie Stone grew up surrounded by music thanks to her parents. Her father, who sang blues and gospel in local venues, was a significant influence in her life, encouraging her to pursue a musical career. Stone rose to fame in the 1970s with The Sequence, one of the first female groups to record rap. The tragic accident occurred while Stone was traveling from Alabama to Atlanta in a van that overturned on Interstate 65 early Saturday morning and was subsequently hit by a cargo truck. Although all other occupants survived, Stone was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the van and seven others were transported to the medical center for treatment after the tragic accident.
