Trump Appoints Brendan Carr as FCC Chair

The President of the USA Donald Trump appointed Brendan Carr, supported by Elon Musk, the head of the Federal Communications Commission, characterizing him as "a fighter for freedom of speech." Trump stated that Carr would oppose the tech industry giants and "unleash the control map."

Carr quickly responded to the appointment, saying: "We need to unleash the control map," asserting that he exists at the will of tech giants such as Facebook, Google, Apple, and Microsoft, and restore Americans' right to freedom of speech.

Brendan Carr has been working at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) since 2019.
