President Javier Milei arrived today in Palm Beach, Florida, where he is expected to meet informally with the elected president of the United States, Donald Trump. The agenda for the Argentine leader also includes his participation in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The meeting between Milei and Trump will take place at Mar-a-Lago, a club owned by the Republican leader.

In a radio interview prior to his trip, Milei expressed hope of receiving support from the U.S. administration to continue negotiations with the IMF. The Argentine president traveled accompanied by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein.

During his stay, Milei and Trump will have an informal exchange at a gala of the America First Policy Institute, where they will have the opportunity to converse with an open agenda. Although the presence of hundreds of guests is expected, a bilateral meeting between the two leaders is not scheduled.

The arrival of the Argentine leader in the United States occurred in the morning, local time, and it is expected that during his stay they can address initiatives such as a possible bilateral free trade agreement with Washington or the formation of a group of nations with conservative governments.
