A senior official for CBS News stated that the United States had not agreed to unfreeze any Iranian assets. He added that a Reuters report based on an Iranian source was inaccurate. He also noted that meetings with Iran have not yet begun, and therefore no agreements have been discussed at all. Earlier, Reuters had cited a high-level Iranian source as saying on Saturday that the United States had agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets frozen in Qatar and other foreign banks.
