Buenos Aires, March 31 (NA) — The U.S. State Department has warned U.S. citizens in Saudi Arabia that it is 'following reports of threats against locations where U.S. citizens gather,' and noted that 'hotels and other gathering places, including U.S. businesses and U.S. educational institutions, could be possible targets.' The security alert issued on Tuesday reiterated that U.S. government employees have been ordered to shelter in place and advised U.S. citizens to do the same, reported CNN and learned by the Argentine News Agency. Previous security alerts had warned of 'threats against locations where U.S. citizens gather,' including hotels, but Tuesday's alert was more specific by also including businesses and educational institutions as possible targets. Iran responded to the U.S. military action by ordering non-essential personnel to leave Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
