The United States and Israel have massively attacked Iran. The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, stated on Saturday that his American counterpart, Donald Trump, 'is wrong' for launching this attack with Israel's support against Iran. He called for an emergency UN meeting to defend world peace. 'Peace and life are the foundations of existence,' Petro posted on X. The Colombian leader added: 'The powerless UN must meet immediately and declare that it is time for world peace.' 'I believe President Trump is wrong today. Nuclear weapons cannot be spread and must all be destroyed.' As part of that campaign, the United States and Israel attacked targets in Tehran and other cities in Iran, which has responded by launching missiles towards Israeli territory and U.S. military bases throughout the Persian Gulf region. 'More children dead from missiles,' Petro wrote, a critic of Israel's use of such weapons in Gaza and the U.S. in its campaign against drug trafficking in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific, where at least 44 boats allegedly carrying drugs have been sunk, causing the deaths of nearly 150 people.
