Trump said: 'We have eradicated 97% of the drugs coming in by water, and now we will start attacking on land. As for the cartels, the cartels control Mexico.' He expressed sorrow over the situation in the country, noting that cartels kill between 250,000 and 300,000 people annually. 'It's very, very sad to see what has happened to that country,' Trump said. 'But cartels control and are killing between 250,000 and 300,000 people in our country every year. You lose a son or a father. Drugs are horrible. They have devastated families.'
