According to the official statement, the military budget for the next fiscal year will be increased by $1.4 billion to support the structure of military space forces.
"This strengthens the national security of the national cosmic space and ensures dominance in the emerging military and commercial cosmic market," the administration's statement said. The proposal to increase the funding of the Air Force was made at the very last moment, before the transfer of the military budget to the president's signature.
"Initially, it was planned to reduce the army budget for the next fiscal year, but the decision to take such a turn is connected to the increased importance of cosmic dominance in world politics," the representative of the administration noted.
