Pepe Aguilar Remembers Moments with US Presidents

Antonio Aguilar, father of Pepe Aguilar and grandfather of Ángela Aguilar, had the opportunity to meet several former presidents of the United States on various occasions. Among the anecdotes shared by the interpreter of 'Cuídamela bien', his encounter with Ronald Reagan stands out, whom he described as someone with a soft hand, leading him to conclude that "he did not work."

Pepe Aguilar accompanied his father to meetings where they met American political figures, such as Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Although he was too young to remember details when he met Carter, his encounter with Reagan at the age of 16 left a lasting impression. Pepe clearly remembers the softness of Reagan's hand, which led him to make his amusing observation about the former president's work.

In an interview, Pepe Aguilar recalled some of these experiences, highlighting that his father had known Reagan since his time as governor of California. In fact, Aguilar senior even sought assistance from Reagan to communicate with the Mexican community and gain support for his reelection.

Additionally, Pepe Aguilar had the opportunity to visit the White House in more recent times, having been invited by Barack Obama on one occasion. Aguilar described the former president as one of the smartest people he has ever met in his life, making it clear that these experiences have left him with unforgettable memories.
