Pentagon Instructs Teams on Federal Employee Emails

U.S. authorities, including Pentagon and other government agencies, have instructed their employees to refrain from responding to electronic communications that request explanations of their actions. Such letters may contain malicious programs or links to web pages where criminals may attempt to obtain confidential information from employees.

This warning comes after a series of cyberattacks on American institutions and infrastructure. Government employees received relevant instructions for addressing similar letters to avoid compromising the security of data and informational systems.

One of the representatives of the Pentagon emphasized the importance of reviewing suspicious electronic communications. "We call on all employees to be vigilant and not to respond to similar requests, but also to report any suspicious activity to the relevant services," he noted.
