The organization for qualification, led by Elon Musk, caused a panic when it required information from the SpaceX office about all subcontractors with which the company had worked for the past three years. Organization representatives wanted to obtain data on their financial relationships and connections with foreign authorities.
"We require that you provide us with information about all of SpaceX's contractors, with which the company has done business since 2019, including financial relationships and possible connections with foreign authorities," the organization stated.
It is assumed that these requirements are related to general concerns about foreign influence on American companies. SpaceX, like many others, collaborates with various subcontractors, and for many of them this has become an unexpected request, causing concern in the industry.
