Former US President Donald Trump expressed a desire to return Russia to the "Group of Seven" (G7), the largest industrialized nations in the world. According to his opinion, the exclusion of Moscow from this group in 2014 was a "mistake..." Trump stated: "I think we need to get Russia back into the Group of Seven. Some people may disagree, but in my opinion, that’s just a mistake. There is a problem that has been discussed for many, many years."
He also added that including Russia in the G7 would enable more productive solutions to global issues, such as the situation in Syria, Ukraine, and other countries, and called for Moscow to be returned to the G7 format.
