The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has reinstalled the "Diet Coke button" on his desk in the Oval Office of the White House. This device, which allows him to request a can of his favorite drink immediately, was used by Trump during his first term and was recently reported by The Wall Street Journal as one of the details in the renovation of the Oval Office after Joe Biden's departure.

According to the report, along with the Diet Coke button, Trump has also placed armed forces flags on his desk. The president has joked in the past about this device, mentioning in an interview with the Financial Times that "everyone gets a little nervous when I press the button," as visitors often confuse it with a mechanism related to nuclear weaponry.

Trump's interest in Coca-Cola is not new, as it was reported in the New York Times during his first term that he consumed up to 12 cans a day. The company even gifted him a commemorative bottle with a special design that included the date of his inauguration in 2025. In his new Oval Office decor, Trump has reintroduced a portrait of George Washington and a bust of Winston Churchill. He has also resumed using a carpet that he had used during his first term, replacing a deep blue one that had been placed by his predecessor.
