Coast Guard Intensifies Operations at the Border

The United States Coast Guard has intensified its presence and operations at the southern border of the country, focusing its efforts on Texas and California to expel immigrants, thus fulfilling the executive orders of President Donald Trump. Admiral Kevin Lunday, acting commander of the Coast Guard, stated that they are strengthening their capabilities to protect the borders and maintain the sovereignty of the country.

"In accordance with the president's orders, we continue to enhance the means and personnel to protect the territorial integrity of the United States," Lunday told Fox News. The 11th District of the Coast Guard, based in California, is collaborating with the Department of Homeland Security in the relocation of immigrants, who will be transported by air from Texas and California prior to their deportation.

Additionally, efforts are being intensified to dismantle human trafficking networks and prevent hostile activities or organized crime-related activities in the region. "All crew members were safely evacuated and handed over to the Customs and Border Protection Agency," the Coast Guard reported.

The deployment of additional resources responds to growing concerns about illegal immigration and national security. The immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration continue to toughen, with measures aimed at curbing the flow of undocumented immigrants into the country and ensuring greater control at the borders.

The New York Immigration Studies Center, a nonpartisan think tank, estimated with the available data as of 2020 that California is the state with the most illegal immigrants. Lunday pointed out that operations are designed to detect, deter, and intercept any threats before they reach U.S. territory.

In one of the recent operations, a vessel carrying immigrants that was sinking in U.S. territorial waters was intercepted. "The boat began to sink shortly after departing." Following California are Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois.
