The Trump administration has reportedly dismissed at least 12 independent inspectors general from key federal agencies, raising concerns over a potential violation of federal law requiring a 30-day notice to Congress.

According to information from the Washington Post, citing unnamed sources, agencies involved in the process include the Department of Defense, the Department of State, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Energy.

In the administration of President Donald Trump, as reported by American media, at least 12 independent general inspectors who worked in major federal agencies were dismissed as part of a cleaning process that took place late Friday evening.

According to the New York Times, the cleaning affected 17 agencies, however, it did not touch the general inspector of the Department of Justice, Michael Horowitz.
