Disney's Live-Action Hercules Retold from Hades' View

Disney is reportedly reimagining the live-action adaptation of 'Hercules' from the perspective of Hades, similar to their approach with 'Maleficent'.

Disney's Live-Action Hercules Retold from Hades' View

Disney is preparing the live-action of "Hercules," and it has been revealed that the new version of the story could follow a different perspective than the 1997 animated film. According to well-known insider Daniel Richtman, the house of the mouse is interested in telling the story from the villain's point of view, similar to what they did with "Maleficent."

This strategy recalls previous Disney adaptations such as "Sleeping Beauty," starring Angelina Jolie, and "Cruella." The producers of the live-action "Hercules," the Russo brothers, have expressed their intention to offer a new vision of the story, moving away from an exact reproduction of the animated version and possibly adopting a darker tone, especially when exploring the character of Hades.

Although it had been speculated that Guy Ritchie would direct the film, his participation could be in doubt due to the changes in direction that the project has taken. On the other hand, the idea of making Hades the protagonist of the live-action "Hercules" stands out due to the popularity of the villain, despite his malevolent role in the original story.

On social media, theories have emerged questioning the nature of the true villain in Greek mythology, suggesting that Zeus and other gods present on Olympus could be considered more threatening than Hades. However, for now, all this remains as rumors, although Daniel Richtman's reliability with his previous leaks gives them some weight.
