The Blue Ghost spacecraft recorded a total solar eclipse on the lunar surface while the Earth experienced a lunar eclipse. The mission explores the moon with scientific tools after landing in Mare Crisium.

Blue Ghost Spacecraft Experiences Solar Eclipse on Moon

A month ago, the Blue Origin spacecraft landed on the surface of the Moon. Last night, a total solar eclipse occurred on the lunar surface, during which the lunar eclipse was observed from several locations on Earth. Cameras on the lunar surface, belonging to the private American company FireFly Aerospace based in Texas, captured how the Earth moved in front of the Sun along the lunar horizon and the eclipse was filmed, after which the images were sent back to Earth.

The spacecraft measuring two meters landed on the Moon at the beginning of March in the Mari Crisium region, a diameter area of about 500 kilometers. Currently, the spacecraft is studying the Moon with the help of scientific equipment until Sunday. This mission, dubbed "Justifier's In Ze Sky", is the first lunar mission for FireFly Aerospace, which previously focused primarily on the development of launch systems.
