Florida Experiencing Historic Snowfall Due to Polar Vortex

A wave of polar cold has hit the United States and triggered an unusual snowfall in Florida, a region known for its high temperatures and sunny weather. Florida residents are surprised by this historic snowfall that has begun to set snowfall records for this time of year. The winter storm, nicknamed "Enzo", has disrupted daily life with road closures and event cancellations.

According to reports from the National Weather Service, areas of the Panhandle have recorded snow accumulations of up to 15 centimeters, surpassing the state mark of 10 centimeters that dated back to 1954. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated: "Our infrastructure is not prepared to face this type of winter conditions", urging the population to avoid "unnecessary travel" and to follow "the recommendations of local authorities".
