US President Donald Trump has decided to cancel additional tariffs of 25% on Indian goods that were previously imposed due to Delhi's continued purchase of Russian oil. This decision is being implemented as part of a trade agreement reached between the parties this week. According to an executive order signed by Trump, 'India has committed to stop importing Russian oil, either directly or indirectly.' Delhi also announced its intention to purchase American energy products and its commitment to 'a framework for expanding defense cooperation with the United States over the next ten years'. The additional 25% US tariffs will be lifted at 12:01 AM local time.
