American Airlines will increase flight frequencies between Buenos Aires and the United States, allowing more Argentine fans to travel and support their national team during the World Cup.
From March 28 to October 24, the U.S. airline will increase its seat capacity to New York (JFK) compared to the 2025 IATA winter season, operating the route with the Boeing 777-300, which has a capacity of 304 passengers, instead of the Boeing 777-200 currently used on that route with a capacity of 273 seats.
Additionally, the airline will offer up to three daily flights to Miami (MIA), adding three extra weekly frequencies — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays — compared to the previous season, as well as four weekly flights to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), the company reported to the Argentine News Agency.
"We are delighted to offer our customers even more options to travel to the United States during what promises to be an unforgettable season for football," said Duncan Paterson, Director of Sales for Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay at American Airlines.
"By increasing our capacity in Buenos Aires, we are offering fans more seats, more flexibility, and more opportunities to follow their team and experience all the excitement of this championship."
With these added frequencies and larger aircraft, American will increase its seat capacity by 30% this year compared to the 2025 season.
