Epstein invented memos about me; investigate what he knew about Clinton, says Trump

US President Donald Trump denies any links to Jeffrey Epstein, calling his memos fabricated, and urges an investigation into what the late financier knew about Bill Clinton and other prominent figures.

Epstein invented memos about me; investigate what he knew about Clinton, says Trump

US President Donald Trump denied any incriminating links with Jeffrey Epstein on Friday and stated that the late financier "invented memos" about him, while urging investigators to focus on what Epstein knew about figures such as former President Bill Clinton.

"Give me a break," he asserted. The head of state asked to investigate what information Epstein had about other personalities and financial entities.

"They have to find out what he knew about Bill Clinton (...) about all those people he knew, including JPMorgan," said Trump.

When a reporter tried to ask why the White House does not support the immediate publication of all files if there is nothing incriminating for him, Trump abruptly interrupted him with a "Silence!".

The statements come amid growing pressure in Congress to vote on a bill that would force the declassification of thousands of documents related to Epstein. Although the House of Representatives already has enough signatures to force a vote, the process faces obstacles in the Senate, which keeps the disclosure of the files on hold.
