Aparicio, an accountant trained at UBA, served as the General Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at AES Corporation, a multinational company in the sector based in Arlington, Virginia.
Aparicio was aboard the plane that collided with a military helicopter while approaching Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. In the accident, three soldiers traveling in the helicopter also lost their lives. The Argentine, in addition to leading acquisitions and global partnerships at AES Corporation, was in charge of several solar energy projects, battery storage, and wind development in California.
The deceased executive had completed a Master's in Business Administration from Tulane University/University of Chile and various financial leadership development programs at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia.
