According to the latest data, no survivors were found. The Philippine consulate reported that at this moment they have not received information about Filipinos involved in the incident. A regional aircraft transported 60 passengers and four crew members, and a military helicopter, which was in a training flight, transported three soldiers. Search and rescue operations on the Potomac River are still ongoing.

No Filipinos were reported involved in the tragic aviation accident in the USA, where a passenger aircraft of American Airlines collided with a military helicopter, reported the Philippine consulate in Washington. On Thursday, in a statement issued by the time OAAE, the consulate confirmed that they are closely monitoring the situation while the authorities continue to conduct search and rescue efforts.

"The Philippine consulate in Washington is closely monitoring the incident in aviation around Reagan National Airport. The White House confirmed that the military helicopter collided with a passenger aircraft," the consulate reported. The accident occurred approximately at 21:00 Eastern Time, when American Eagle Flight 5342, a CRJ-700 belonging to PSA Airlines, collided in the air with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter not far from Reagan National Airport. Both aircraft fell into the Potomac River, resulting in at least 18 people dead. Currently, authorities are conducting search and rescue operations.
