The two black boxes of the passenger plane that crashed in Washington on Wednesday night after colliding with an army helicopter have been found, according to U.S. media reports. According to the site dw, investigators recovered the pilot's cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder, which will be analyzed by the National Transportation Safety Board, which is in charge of the investigation, according to anonymous sources cited by CBS News and ABC News.
On the other hand, NTSB spokesman Peter Knudson told USA Today that there are no additional recorders on the plane and that investigators are searching for the helicopter's recorder. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth mentioned that the Black Hawk military helicopter, with three people on board, was conducting a training flight and that its crew was "quite experienced."
Federal aviation investigators have promised that "they will find the cause of the tragic collision" between the helicopter and the plane that resulted in the deaths of 67 people.
