Robberies Investigated at Mahomes and Kelce's Homes

The police are investigating two robbery incidents that occurred at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The robberies took place on consecutive days last month, before and during a home game.

Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, confirmed that his home in a resort-style private community in Cass County was targeted by burglars. Although he did not provide many details due to the ongoing investigation, he indicated that no items were reported missing. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce, the team's tight end, also suffered a break-in at his residence in Leawood, Kansas.

The incidents, initially reported by TMZ, occurred around the game the Chiefs played and won against the New Orleans Saints on October 7. On that same date, Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was present at the stadium. According to information obtained by AP, the break-in at Kelce's home was reported the following morning, and losses were estimated at about $20,000 in cash, along with damage to a back door.

Mahomes commented before a practice that it is frustrating and disappointing to face such situations. Mahomes' 16,000-square-foot home features a wine cellar, a backyard pool, and a six-car garage. Although the police declined to comment on specific details regarding the victims, an active investigation is underway to clarify the events.

Both the police department and the county district attorney's office were hesitant to make statements to the media. The incidents occurred while Mahomes was playing a game and Kelce was away from his residence. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with these robberies at the homes of the Chiefs players.
