Trump Criticizes Harris During Texas Visit

Former US President Donald Trump traveled to Texas to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris, who was campaigning in Houston. Trump mocked her electoral strategy and attacked current immigration policies, calling the US a 'dumpster'. Harris defended her position on reproductive rights in response, emphasizing the real harm caused by restrictions following the Supreme Court ruling.

The former president of the United States (2017-2021) and Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, decided to travel to Texas this Friday to confront his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, who is scheduled to hold a campaign rally in that state alongside Beyoncé. Trump, during a campaign event in Austin, the capital of Texas, criticized Harris for choosing Texas for her campaign, claiming she is losing in key states for the elections.

Trump mocked Harris by pointing out that the vice president surrounds herself with 'woke' (progressive) personalities, in this case, Beyoncé, during her rallies in Texas. Additionally, the former president took the opportunity to question the immigration policy of the Democratic Administration, accusing Harris of promoting the arrival of gang-involved immigrants to the country without any basis.

In response to Trump's statements, Kamala Harris reproached the former president for belittling the country by comparing it to a trash can. The vice president plans to focus her speech on defending reproductive rights during her event in Houston, especially after the Supreme Court's elimination of the federal right to abortion in 2022, which she believes has caused great suffering in the country.

Harris characterized Trump as a threat to democracy due to his involvement in the Capitol assault in 2021, arguing the need for a president who respects the will of the people and ensures free and fair elections. In this sense, the vice president plans to address the impact of abortion restrictions on those directly affected and highlight the power of the people to determine the course of the country.
