U.S. low-cost airline 'Avelo Airlines' announced it will cease its migrant deportation flights from the United States by the end of this month, as stated by its management in a statement reported by American media. Avelo Airlines will stop deportation flights effective January 27. The company, based in Houston, had signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025 to operate specialized deportation flights for migrants, but it faced a campaign of protests and calls to boycott it.
