"It's a surreal moment," said Daniels, quarterback for the Commanders. "I always believed we could achieve more than what people thought, without giving ourselves much credit."

Washington's victory, led by Jayden Daniels, marked the early end of the season for the Lions, who were outscored 45-31. Daniels had an impeccable performance, throwing for two touchdowns and leading his team to the next round of the competition.

That next stage, the conference championship, will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025. On one side, the Kansas City Chiefs, reigning champions, will face the winner of the matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders will meet the victor of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams.
