The Inter Miami team defeated Cavalier from Jamaica 2-0 at Chase Stadium in the United States, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Concachampions. The match took place without Lionel Messi, who was suffering from a muscle overload.

The American team managed to score two goals, the first by Tadeo Allende at 16 minutes into the second half, and the second scored by Uruguayan Luis Suárez at 38 minutes into the same half. Meanwhile, Cavalier from Jamaica had a goal disallowed by VAR due to an offside position.

Despite Messi's absence, the team led by Javier Mascherano managed to take the lead in the score in the second half of the match. The game was marked by a difficult first half for Inter Miami, with two clear goal opportunities for Cavalier.

In the first part, the Jamaican team was close to scoring, but a shot hit the post. Then, a goal was disallowed after a VAR review determined an offside position. In the second half, Inter Miami managed to take the lead and control the game.

Luis Suárez's goal, at 38 years old, sealed the match by placing the ball next to the right post of the opposing goalkeeper. With this victory, Inter Miami left the series in their favor and will have to secure their spot in the quarter-finals in the next away match. Lionel Messi is expected to be in condition to participate in the return leg.
