The American club Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi plays, has made a new offer for the Racing midfielder, Baltasar Rodríguez. It is reported that the Major League Soccer team, managed by Javier Mascherano, a former player of the Argentine national team in a new role as a center back, is interested in signing the 21-year-old player on loan with an option to buy 80% of his rights.
According to the details of the proposal, the loan would be for one season with the condition of automatic purchase if Rodríguez plays at least 66% of the matches with the pink team, which also includes players like Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets. Despite this offer, the Argentine club is not convinced about letting go of their player.
There is a possibility that Rodríguez's departure is linked to the arrival of midfielder Richard Sánchez from América in Mexico. The transfer window extends until March 13, which would allow Racing to look for a replacement in case the midfielder's exit materializes. The Argentine club's head coach, Gustavo Costas, has expressed interest in the 28-year-old Paraguayan player, which adds complexity to the negotiations between Inter Miami and Rodríguez.
