A local American court has reinstated the consideration of a case regarding the withholding of secret documents against former President Donald Trump after his departure from the White House.
In connection with this decision, the federal appeals court overturned last year's ruling from the lower court related to the request for access to the requested documents.
According to the court's decision, the continuation of the case requires additional checks of US laws on the issue of confidentiality and the level of access to information related to the previous administration.
In particular, the court stated: "Acknowledging the complexity of the issues at specific stages of the case's consideration, we are returning this case for further discussions."
Prosecutors welcome this decision as a step towards transparent processing of documents, while Trump's lawyers continue to insist on the absence of grounds for further consideration of the case.
