A massive hack attack on the email accounts of the American presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign was successful. Unknown individuals managed to intercept the electronic communications of the candidate and his team, resulting in serious security threats within the political staff.
The incident, the irony of which is that in the end, his victim was a person who himself could not rule out the possibility of exceptional cyberattacks, occurred in the last days of the presidential campaign before the elections, during which Trump's opponents employed various methods, including information leaks.
"This is very serious," noted in his commentary the press secretary of the Trump campaign, "we are conducting an investigation and directing all efforts to protect the candidate's data and further fight against threats."
