Venezuelan Tren de Aragua Member Becomes First Cybercriminal on FBI's Most Wanted List

The FBI announced this Tuesday the inclusion of Venezuelan cybercriminal Aníbal Alexander Canelón Aguirre to the list of the ten most wanted fugitives for his alleged ties to the transnational criminal gang Tren de Aragua. Along with him, the agency included Vietnamese-born Trung Duc Lu and American Samuel Ramírez, who has already been captured in a joint operation with Mexican authorities. Aguirre is accused of leading an international network that allegedly steals millions of dollars from financial institutions in the United States to finance the Tren de Aragua gang. This is the first time a cybercriminal has appeared on the most wanted list. Authorities are also seeking Lu, suspected of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering two Vietnamese brothers in Philadelphia in 2014.
