White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump will decide when Iran has effectively met the 'unconditional surrender' demanded by Washington. Earlier that day, Trump had posted on his Truth Social network that 'there will be no deal with Iran other than unconditional surrender'. According to Leavitt, 'what the president wants to say is that when he, as Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces, determines that Iran no longer poses a threat to the United States of America, and that the objectives of Operation Furious Rage have been achieved, then Iran will basically be in a state of unconditional surrender, whether they say so or not'. Iran responded with multiple waves of missile and drone attacks against Israeli and U.S. assets throughout the region. As reported by Noticias Argentinas agency, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi told NBC News that his country is not calling for a ceasefire and sees no reason to negotiate with Washington. The United States and Israel launched joint military attacks against Iran on February 28, killing Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, several key military commanders, and hundreds of civilians.
Trump to Determine Moment of Iran's 'Unconditional Surrender'
The White House stated that Donald Trump will unilaterally decide when Iran will meet the required conditions. In response, Iran attacked American and Israeli targets. Iran's Foreign Minister rejected the possibility of negotiations.
