美国总统唐纳德·特朗普 affirmed that he does not contemplate granting a presidential pardon to Sean 'Diddy' Combs, sentenced to four years in prison for crimes related to prostitution. In an interview given to The New York Times and published today, Trump ruled out that he will pardon other prominent public figures, such as the ousted president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. Combs, 56, was convicted in July 2025 for transporting persons between states to engage in prostitution. A jury acquitted him of the charges of sex trafficking and extortion. Regarding Diddy, Trump confirmed that Combs sent him a letter requesting the pardon. On the day he took office for a second term as president, Trump pardoned more than 1,500 convicts or those facing charges for their participation in the assault on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021. Last November, Trump pardoned the former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison on drug trafficking charges.
