President of the United States Donald Trump stated on Friday that, as a result of the release of political prisoners in Venezuela following the capture of Nicolás Maduro, he has canceled the “second wave of attacks” that was planned. In a post on Truth Social, Trump indicated that due to “cooperation” from the new government of Delcy Rodríguez, the attacks are not “necessary,” as learned by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. “Venezuela is releasing a large number of political prisoners as a sign of its ‘search for peace.’ The United States and Venezuela are collaborating effectively, especially in the reconstruction, in a much greater, better, and more modern way, of its oil and gas infrastructure. This is a very important and intelligent gesture.”
