US Democrats Publish Epstein Emails About Trump

Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives published emails on Wednesday in which convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein suggests that then-U.S. President Donald Trump knew of his conduct, according to international media reports. It also claims that Javier Milei, the current top international ally of Argentina's president, had 'spent hours' at his home with one of the victims, according to a publication on the RFI website. Trump denied any involvement or knowledge of the sex trafficking activities of his friend, who died by suicide in a federal prison in 2019 while awaiting trial. However, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee claimed the emails 'raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein's horrific crimes.' The scandal surrounding the discredited financier continues to rock the Trump administration four months after the Department of Justice effectively closed the case, announcing there was nothing more to share. In the newly published emails addressed to former associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted for sex trafficking following Epstein's death, and author Michael Wolff, Epstein claims that Trump spent significant time with a woman whom House Oversight Democrats describe as a victim of Epstein's sex trafficking. In an email to Wolff shared by Democrats and dated January 31, 2019, Epstein allegedly wrote: 'Of course [Trump] knew about the girls and he asked Ghislaine to stop it.' In another message from April 2011, Epstein relayed the following to Maxwell: 'I want you to realize that the dog that hasn't barked yet is Trump.' In that message, he added, in reference to an unidentified victim: 'He spent hours in my house with her, it's never been mentioned.' House Oversight Democrats obtained the emails after forcing Epstein's legal heirs to turn them over earlier this year. Trump was not accused of any crime in connection with Epstein or Maxwell, concludes the French site. Last July, Attorney General Pam Bondi notified Trump that his name appeared in the files 'on multiple occasions.' The Wall Street Journal then published a note stating that in May, the official informed the president that his name appeared in the documents of the magnate and sex offender, along with those of 'other high-profile figures,' which sparked a conflict between the White House and the newspaper.
