Washington, Nov 4 (EFE). - US President Donald Trump, without evidence, denounced a 'fraud' in the referendum on redistricting in California, one of the votes held today in the country, along with mayoral elections in cities like New York.
'The unconstitutional vote on redistricting in California is a HUGE FRAUD, as the entire process, particularly the vote itself, is RIGGED,' the head of state wrote on his social network, Truth Social.
Trump, who also accused without evidence of fraud in the 2020 presidential elections, which he lost to Joe Biden, assured that Republicans have been 'excluded' from mail-in voting and stated that the process is 'under a very rigorous legal and criminal investigation.'
Proposition 50, which is up for referendum in California, seeks a temporary redistribution of the state's electoral districts in favor of the Democratic Party, which could facilitate the Trump Republican administration losing its majority in the House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections.
This measure was pushed by California authorities, a state with a Democratic majority, in response to a similar initiative led by Republicans in Texas, where they are trying to redistribute seats to facilitate a Trumpist victory in next year's lower house elections.
