Pentagon Report Highlights Defense Issues

Technical report of the United States Department of Defense (Pentagon), prepared by the Chief Inspector of the department, revealed several serious problems in the country's missile defense systems. According to this document, some of these systems, designated for intercepting hostile missiles, experience difficulties in ensuring effective defense.

One of the main issues identified in the report is the inability to detect certain components of the detection system and to intercept ballistic missiles belonging to the designated type. These shortcomings could seriously undermine the defense capabilities of the United States in the event of an attack.

However, a Pentagon representative stated that the department has already begun correcting the identified problems. Plans have been developed to improve the country's missile defense systems and enhance the operation of the missile interception systems.

At the same time, it should be noted that current problems in the missile defense systems should not cause panic, as the Pentagon is working on their resolution. Measures are already being taken to increase the effectiveness of the country’s defense against missile threats.
