On Monday, a court document appeared, from which it became known that the U.S. Department of Justice proposed to Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, to enter into a settlement regarding the division of profits in the context of a lawsuit filed against them last year.
Google is accused of abusing its dominant position in the search and online advertising market. According to the document, the proposal from the Department of Justice includes the possibility of concluding a settlement concerning the division of revenue from advertising over the next five years.
"The government has the right to claim a portion of the revenues from the transactions that will be concluded as a result of this agreement," the document states.
Representatives of Google have not yet commented on this matter.
