US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he instructed his staff to begin work on restoring and reopening the Guantanamo Bay prison. "We are currently working on Guantanamo and, likely, we are going in the direction of reopening it again for (detainees)," Trump told journalists during a briefing in Florida. "So that we could do things like we did before this," he added, not providing additional details about his plans regarding the prison. "Guantanamo Bay" is located on the territory of the US military base in Cuba and has become a stronghold for suspected terrorists after the attacks of September 11, 2001.
