Recent political actions in the USA are holding back the typical flow of research across the border, closing doors on important qualifications and talents necessary for the country. In Trump's second presidency, his approach seems similar to a series of policies that are unlikely to benefit American science. If we have to leave the country, it would be a significant loss, diminishing both intellectual, scientific, and entrepreneurial capital, as well as the creative spirit that has always distinguished America. Eric Hartman, a professor of civil engineering at 'Northeastern University' for 'The Hill' publication, stated: 'Capital owners, not just students, are already exploring the possibilities of citizenship in other countries, indicating a decline in trust in the stability and future of America.' The scale of negative consequences of government decisions for scientific and innovative progress in the USA is catastrophic, provoking protests. At the beginning of this month, the federal government ceased funding research at 'Northeastern University,' and the popularity of President Donald Trump in public opinion polls has decreased following widespread concerns about inflation, recession, and trade wars. It seems this statement is based on transparency, triggering significant concerns. Professor Hartman had to refuse the proposed limited opportunities for potential students. This aggressive practice against students, prestigious universities, and their protectors signals danger for the scientific community, and everyone can feel it. Graduating students have already begun actively seeking other opportunities abroad or are refusing scientific careers. The last three months have been marked by a crisis triggered by the proposed budget cuts and expected sharp decreases in future funding, which poses a threat to long-term research projects and professional lives of many scholars. The rise of reprisals against students and higher educational institutions and Americans who protect them raises alarms in the scientific community. With the aim of finding new opportunities abroad and on the front line of tenure, immigrants and their descendants, who struggle hard to enter this country, their space is becoming diminished. We have invested a lot of energy and intellect into the establishment of this country.
